Chairman of Refpoint Business Consultants, Kenneth Maw, wins award for ‘Outstanding Achievement by an Individual’ at the MENA Insurance Awards 2017

On February 1st 2017, Chairman of Repoint Business Consultants, Kenneth Maw won an award for ‘Outstanding Achievement by an Individual’ at the 2017 MENA Insurance Awards.

Although Refpoint Business Consultants itself is not an Insurance Company, in October 2016 the Dubai-based business consultancy partnered with Axco Insurance Information Services, offering their consultancy services to develop and grow Axco’s presence in the MENA region.

As a result of the work with Axco so far, Refpoint Business Consultants, as a company, were also presented with a ‘Highly Commended’ Award in the ‘Newcomer’ category, which the team at Refpoint were extremely pleased about.

These awards are a testament to Kenneth and the team at Refpoint’s hard work and experience built up over three decades across multiple industries including the Insurance Broking industry.

In the early 80’s and 90’s Kenneth led HSBC Insurance brokers before setting up Insure Direct (Brokers) in 2000. In 2013, UK-based Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc (JLT) invested in a significant shareholding and now Insure Direct operates as a subsidiary of JLT Group.

Throughout this period Kenneth has worked with a wide variety of businesses and industries throughout the MENA region and has built a robust network of positive relationships across several large government and public organisations. In 2016, Kenneth formed Refpoint Business Consultants with the vision to leverage on 30 years experience working in the Middle East and offer start up business consultancy services to individuals and firms seeking to access the MENA market.

The team at Refpoint Business Consultants understand the complications and common hurdles businesses often experience in this particular part of the world and specialise in offering sales consultancy and brand representation services in Dubai and the MENA region.

Refpoint’s business consultancy and outsourced sales services also enable individuals and firms to access the Middle Eastern market whilst avoiding the cost of setting up a physical base and hiring employees in the region.
